Who are we?
As a church body, we are a very diverse group of people: young, old, and every age in between; of different social, geographic and ethnic backgrounds...some of us have been here all our lives, some of us have been here just a few years, many of us just started attending a few months or weeks ago. Whoever you are, we offer you a warm welcome.
What time should I arrive?
Our Blended Sunday worship service starts at 8:45 a.m and our Contemporary Service begins at 10:45 a.m. If you are the type that likes to be early for things, please come in and mingle, we offer have a break in between services to allow for fellowship. We offer a full espresso menu, bagels and lots of other goodies served at our coffee shop. On the other hand, if you are running late, do not be shy about coming in, you are welcome ANY time!
What is the dress code?
There is no dress code! We invite you to please come as you are; wear whatever you are comfortable in. Our pastor only owns one suit, and it for marrying and burying.
What should I expect?
For some people, going anywhere for the first time can cause some butterflies. Here is a quick overview of what to expect. We start our service with a brief prayer/devotional to help us get in the mood and focus on the Lord. Our worship team then leads us in about 30 minutes of worship. We mostly sing contemporary songs accompanied by guitar, bass, drums, and keyboard . First service will be a "toned" down service; the lights are not dimmed during the service and the music is not loud, we also sing a couple of hymns every week in this service. Our second service is very contemporary; the music is new and fresh and we turn up the volume a little. Though we are not a quiet bunch, we do not have any expectations about how one should worship. Our time of singing is followed by a few announcements and an overview of what is going on in the upcoming week(s). During the second service the kids are then called up front for a brief object lesson before being dismissed to their respective Sunday School classes. There is also a nursery for smaller ones (kids 6 months to 3 years old). For the next 30 to 45 minutes, Pastor Gary, our senior pastor, will share a practical message from God's word. Sometimes Pastor Austin, our youth pastor, or a guest speaker will share. Our service concludes around 10:15 for first service and 12:45 p.m. for second service. Many of us stay around and catch up, or continue conversation over lunch.
What do we believe?
We are a Christian church. We believe that God loves us and wants a personal relationship with each of us. This is possible through His son, Jesus Christ. Go to OUR FAITH page for more information and Bible references on what we believe.
